How we keep the rankings
Before a single file moves we crawl the whole site and list every URL, title, heading, image and inbound link, and we pull the pages that rank and the backlinks pointing at you from Search Console and link data. Then we write the URL map: one line per page, old address to new address. The new site is built on a private address with titles, headings, meta descriptions and alt text carried across deliberately. On launch night every old URL gets a 301 and every redirect is tested the same day. The sitemap, robots file, canonicals and analytics are re-verified on the new site.
