Why people call us about website accessibility (ada / wcag)
You got a letter, or your competitor did
Website accessibility demand letters are common for US small businesses, and most owners had no idea there was a problem.
An overlay widget promised to fix it
Those one-line "accessibility" widgets do not make a site compliant and have featured in lawsuits themselves.
Nobody can tell you what is actually wrong
Automated scanners produce hundreds of warnings with no sense of which ones matter.
This is for you if
- US small businesses that have received, or want to avoid, an ADA website demand letter
- Healthcare, education, legal, finance and public-facing services where accessibility is expected
- Any business whose site was built without accessibility in mind, which is most of them
This is not for you if
You have a demand letter in hand and need legal advice. We are not lawyers and will not pretend to be. We can fix the site quickly and provide evidence to your attorney, and we will work alongside them.
We would rather lose the job than sell you the wrong one.
Everything in the price
No line items appearing later. If something is not on this list, we say so before you pay.
Four steps, no surprises
-
01
Audit
Automated scan plus a real person using your site with a keyboard and a screen reader. That combination finds what either one alone misses.
-
02
Report
Every issue explained in plain English and ranked by how much it blocks a visitor, with the fix named.
-
03
Fix and retest
We make the changes on your existing site and test again, keeping the evidence.
-
04
Publish and maintain
An accessibility statement goes live, and monitoring keeps new pages from undoing the work.
Not sure what your website needs?
Send us the address. A person looks at it properly — speed, mobile, how it shows up on Google, whether anything is broken or unsafe — and emails you back what we find, in plain English. No obligation, and no automated score out of a hundred.
- Back within one business day
- Looked at by a person, not a script
- No obligation to buy anything
We use it to reply, and for nothing else. No list, no follow-up sequence.

How do payments work?

Does my small business website need to be ADA compliant?
In practice, yes. US courts have often treated business websites as places of public accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and thousands of website accessibility lawsuits and demand letters are filed against small businesses every year. The recognised standard is WCAG 2.1 level AA. We are not lawyers and cannot advise on your legal position, but we can audit your site against that standard, fix what fails, and give you the evidence.
What should I do if I get a website accessibility demand letter?
Speak to an attorney first, and fix the site quickly second. Our audit-and-remediation service usually completes within two to three weeks and produces before-and-after evidence and a published accessibility statement, which your attorney can use. We will work directly with them. We do not give legal advice and would not want you relying on a web studio for it.
Do accessibility overlay widgets make a website ADA compliant?
No. Overlay widgets — the one-line scripts that add an accessibility toolbar — do not fix the underlying code, are often unusable with the screen readers they claim to help, and companies using them have still been sued. Accessibility comes from the site itself: proper structure, labels, contrast, keyboard access and alt text. That is what we fix.
How long does an accessibility audit take?
The audit takes about a week for up to ten key pages, and the fixes usually two to three weeks after that on a WordPress or Shopify site. We test by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader as well as with automated tools, because automated scanners alone miss a large share of real barriers.
